Next to the monument there is a statue of the famous medieval age war leader Jan Zizka who defeated the Crusaders of King Sigmund in 1420. Vítkov Memorial and the adjacent park are not only places of a great cultural significance but they are also favorite destinations of sports enthusiasts. Runners and in-line skatem can be met here in large numbers throughout the day.

Nearby, there is also the New Jewish Cemetery in Olsany which is the largest Jewish cemetery in the Czech Republic. Among approximately 25,000 gravestones you can find tombs of many important Czech historical persons and characters such as Franz Kafka or Ota Pavel. Furthermore, there is a memorial of Holocaust with a number of artistically valuable tombstones from leading prominent architects.

In the hotel‘s surroundings you can find newly reconsructed television and observation tower – Zizkov Tower that is a dominant of the entire district. In the tower it is possible to get a high quality service in a modern restaurant and cafe and all that in height of 66 metres above the ground. 30 meters above the restaurant there is an observatory located which enables you to enjoy spectacular views of the whole city.

Besides all this, large shopping centers Flora and Palladium are just a few bus stops away.
